Refund & Returns Policy — The Hidden Edition

1. Overview
At The Hidden Edition, we take great care in offering high-quality, rare, and beautifully crafted limited edition books.Because many of our items are collectible or produced in limited quantities, our return policy differs slightly from standard retail. This policy outlines when refunds or returns are accepted and how to request one.
2. Eligibility for Returns
You may request a return or refund if
:✔ The item arrives damaged Examples:torn dust jacket; crushed corners; ripped pages; significant printing defects (Photos must be provided within 48 hours of delivery.)
✔ You received the wrong item Examples: incorrect edition; unsigned book when listed as signed; incorrect sprayed edge or variant
✔ The parcel is lost in transit After confirmation by the courier.
3. Non-Returnable Items
Due to the collectible, limited, or personalised nature of many of our products, the following items are not eligible for return:
✘ Change-of-mind returns We cannot accept returns simply because the buyer no longer wants the item.
✘ Minor cosmetic imperfections Examples:slight corner bumpstiny marks from printing or bindingsmall variations in sprayed edgesslight foil or colour inconsistenciesThese are normal with mass-produced and hand-finished limited editions.
✘ Opened sealed or shrink-wrapped itemsIf removing the seal affects authenticity or condition verification.
✘ Preorder cancellations after dispatchBefore dispatch, cancellations may be accepted depending on the item (see Section 7).
4. Timeframe for Requesting a Return
You must notify us within 14 days of receiving your order if an item is faulty or incorrect. You must return the item within 30 days of approval. Requests made outside this period may not be accepted.
5. Return Process

We will review your request within 2–3 business days. If approved, we will provide return instructions and the return address.Returned items must be :unused in original condition, securely packaged to avoid damage in transit.
6. Refunds
Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will notify you of the refund decision. If approved: Refunds are issued to your original payment method.
Allow 3–7 business days for processing. Original shipping fees are non-refundable, except where the issue was our error. If the item is returned damaged due to inadequate packaging, we reserve the right to reduce or deny the refund.
7. Preorders
You may cancel a preorder before dispatch, unless: it is a limited signed edition with guaranteed allocation, the publisher or supplier restricts cancellations. If a preorder cannot be fulfilled (rare, but possible with limited print runs), we will issue a full refund.
8. Exchanges
We only offer exchanges when: the item arrives damaged, or the wrong item was sent. If a replacement is unavailable (common for limited editions), we will issue a refund instead.
9. Lost or Delayed Parcels
A parcel is considered lost if: UK: 10 business days after the expected delivery date . International: 20 business days after expected delivery. Once confirmed by the courier, we will issue a replacement or refund.
10. Return Shipping Costs
If the return is due to our error (wrong item, faulty item), we cover return shipping.I f the item is not eligible for refund but returned anyway, the buyer may be responsible for return shipping costs.
